Rangers icon Allan McGregor spotted at popular restaurant loved by Old Firm heroes as owner hails ‘dining with legends’

ALMOST two years after ending his playing career, Allan McGregor has been right back in the thick of things at Rangers.
Now, he's been spotted getting acquainted with one a top Glasgow restaurant that's loved by the city's big football stars.
McGregor, 43, enjoyed a trophy-laden time of things at Rangers across two spells.
He won three league titles, three Scottish Cups and five League Cups during his first stint at Ibrox before returning to the club under Steven Gerrard in 2018.
McGregor would help the Gers to a first league title in a decade in 2021 and also added another Scottish Cup winner's medal to his collection.
At the end of the 2022/23 season, it was confirmed the legendary goalkeeper would be one of the big names leaving Rangers at the end of their contracts.
McGregor enjoyed a testimonial against Newcastle at Ibrox in the weeks following his departure and little had been heard of him since.
Despite failing to join a new club, the former Scotland No1 never officially announced his retirement as a player.
Then, just a month ago, McGregor made a stunning return to Rangers.
He was announced as part of Barry Ferguson's coaching staff after Philippe Clement's dismissal as manager.
McGregor joined fellow teammates Neil McCann and Billy Dodds in assisting Ferguson, who landed the manager's job on an interim basis until the end of the season.
In the last game before the international break, the new coaching team oversaw a 3-2 Old Firm triumph for Rangers over Celtic.
Hamza Igamane's late strike secured a first Light Blues win at Parkhead since 2020.
Now, McGregor has been spotted at a popular venue that's become a hot spot for stars from BOTH sides of the Old Firm.
He popped in for a meal at La Lanterna West End.
The Italian eatery has become popular for both Celtic and Rangers stars who regularly flock to the Italian eatery on Great Western Road.
The restaurant posted a picture of McGregor alongside head chef Luca.
They said on Instagram: "What an exciting night at La Lanterna West End!
"We were thrilled to host Allan McGregor, the legendary ex-Rangers goalkeeper and now goalkeeping coach.
"We hope you enjoyed your dining experience with us and we can't wait to welcome you back soon. #LaLanternaWestEnd #AllanMcGregor #DiningWithLegends"
Rangers star Ianis Hagi is among the other footie aces to have visited the restaurant.
Former Gers boss Clement and Alfredo Morelos also, separately, enjoyed a meal at the venue previously.
It was a favourite of Celtic keeper Joe Hart while Jota has also made multiple visits.
