Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has issued a cryptic three-word message as he prepares for a return to professional football.

The 32-year-old has been without a club since his contract was terminated at Juventus in November. He left the Serie A outfit despite having his four-year ban reduced on appeal after testing positive for the prohibited substance DHEA. Since, there has been talk about Pogba moving back to United for a third spell.

However, nothing has materialised. The midfielder has been working hard in training and is free to play again after his ban ended earlier this month. France manager Didier Deschamps revealed during the international break that he has been in direct contact with Pogba as he looks to sign for another club.

Now, Pogba has sent a mysterious message to fans as his wait to return to football rumbles on. In an Instagram story, the Frenchman, who posted for a selfie, said: "Let's get it," alongside a flexed biceps emoji.

The meaning of Pogba's message remains to be seen, but it could be related to his future in football as he continues to train and wait for his next opportunity - 18 months since his last appearance.

Pogba's most recent competitive game came in September 2023 when he was introduced as a second-half substitute for Juventus against Empoli. He had played just 12 times for the Old Lady after returning to the club from United on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.

In an interview in 2024, Pogba was asked if he missed United during his period away from football. "Truly, I had so many problems," he told Sky Sports. "I didn't have time to think of Manchester United. I needed to get rid of all my problems and play.

"I watch Manchester United and still have teammates there. They are still one of the biggest clubs in the world - but I wasn't thinking about more stuff."
