Update:

Inter Miami continued their good form with a seventh consecutive win over the weekend and there was plenty more for co-owner David Beckham to celebrate. The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and LA Galaxy star marked his upcoming 50th birthday with a star-studded part in Miami on Monday night.

Beckham is one of the most recognisable sports stars on the planet and is a certified global celebrity. Even during his playing career he had high-profile friendships with the likes of Tom Cruise and his party included a number of A-list stars.

Of course, Inter Miami stars Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets were all in attendance, but they weren’t the only athletes in the building. NFL GOAT Tom Brady and NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal were also invited and posed for a photo alongside the birthday boy.

Actors Justin Theroux and Fisher Stevens were also there, as was Grammy Award-winning singer Marc Anthony. Bringing a taste of home, Beckham’s old friends David Gardner, Gabe Turner and Ben Winston were also there.

However there appears to have been one notable absence from David Beckham’s 50th birthday party. One photograph of the evening shows the Beckham family with wife Victoria, daughter Harper, and sons Cruz and Harper alongside their partners. However the eldest son - Brooklyn - was not photographed, suggesting that he was not able to attend.

He may not turn 50 until May 2 but David Beckham will probably have a busy few months coming up with Inter Miami. In addition to the MLS, Concacaf Champions League Cup and Leagues Cup commitments, the Herons are also one of two MLS representatives at this summer’s Club World Cup.

"Our vision, we wanted to create one of the biggest clubs in the world - and I just think it’s good for the sport," Beckham said recently. “I think it’s good for the club, I think it’s great for the league. It’s a tough league. And it’s a tough league to win a championship but as an owner of Miami, we want to win - it’s simple as that.”
