Hibs boss David Gray open to club signing international No1 as he reveals plans to strengthen goalkeeping department

DAVID GRAY would be open to Bournemouth keeper Alex Paulsen joining Hibs on loan next season.
The Kiwi, 22, is currently on loan at Auckland, part of the same Black Knight FC network.
And president Tim Bezbatchenko last week claimed the Easter Road club would be a good fit.
Hibs boss Gray has already signed current No 1 Jordan Smith to a new long-term deal, but back-up Josef Bursik’s loan from Club Brugge is up in the summer.
And Gray confirmed he will be looking to strengthen in that department.
He said: “I think what Tim was demonstrating is, with a multi-club group, how can everybody benefit from it? And can you recruit from within as well?
“Anything that can strengthen each of the teams can only be a good thing for everybody involved.
“What I took from what he said was how players can move around.
“To get to Bournemouth, for example, in the Premier League, would a loan to a team like Hibs at a slightly lower level suit some players? Of course it would.
“It’s definitely a bonus to have that network and infrastructure.
“We’ve obviously tied up Jordan, which was great, because he’s done fantastically well.
“And with Josef on loan, it’s a position we’re going to have to bring someone in.”
Gray also revealed he hopes to visit Bournemouth when time allows to see how they operate.
The Cherries are heading for a top-ten finish this season and Gray reckons the trip could prove invaluable as he looks to build a winning culture in Leith.
He said: “Myself and the other coaches, you always try to learn.
“To see a Premier League club who are flying and a manager doing incredibly well would be great.
“It can strengthen the relationship and let us see the benefit of having this multi-club structure. The investment deal means I can go there, which is great and I’m really looking forward to that at a time that suits our schedule here.
“You can always learn. You always try to take little bits from people, maybe ask questions that relate to what we’re doing here.
“So you’re always learning, always looking to evolve and I think that’s a fantastic relationship to have.”
