Manchester City have learned their FA Cup semi-final date against Nottingham Forest - heading to Wembley again on Sunday April 27.

City booked their place in the last four for the seventh season in a row with a 2-1 quarter-final victory over Bournemouth at the weekend, having previously knocked out Salford City, Leyton Orient and Plymouth Argyle.

Forest represent a far tougher test, having beaten the Blues at the City Ground last month and looking well-placed for a Champions League place having beaten Manchester United this week. Crystal Palace take on Aston Villa in the other semi-final.

City's clash with Forest will kick off at 4.30pm at Wembley on the Sunday, and while it doesn't create any headaches for their previous or following fixtures, it does mean a late return home for fans from the capital.

If the semi-final was to go to penalties, fans wouldn't be leaving Wembley until around 7.30pm, although there are trains back to Manchester Piccadilly until 9.25pm.

It comes after the Bournemouth trip was also given a Sunday 4.30pm slot. The Forest game will be broadcast live on ITV in the UK.

The Premier League game originally scheduled for that weekend - the home fixture with Aston Villa - has been brought forward to April 22.

The other semi-final between Palace and Villa will take place on Saturday, April 26, with a 5.15pm kick off. That game will be shown by BBC Sport.

The winning and losing semi-final clubs will receive £1,000,000 and £500,000 respectively from the competition’s prize fund. Ticketing information will be made available by the respective competing clubs to their supporters.
