Luis Enrique has warned Aston Villa that his Paris Saint-Germain side are hungry for more silverware this season after securing the Ligue 1 title on Saturday.

The French champions clinched their 13th league title with a 1-0 win over Angers at the Parc des Princes, where they will host Villa on Wednesday night.

The following Tuesday, PSG will travel to Villa Park for the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

“I'm happy, satisfied, very pleased,” Enrique told PSG TV after winning the league. “I think it's time to thank all the supporters, all the players, the staff, everyone at the club.

“I think this season has been sensational. We're already champions and I think we've thoroughly deserved this trophy.

“I think we have records to break, and it's important to have and maintain this motivation to be competitive in the Champions League and also in the Coupe de France.”

PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma added: “We've worked very hard but we still have goals to achieve. We have to keep working, Wednesday is our first objective, and we have to keep giving it our all to win every match until the end of the season.

“The Ligue 1 title can give us the strength to continue, to work, to move forward and do other things. That's important.

“We still have a lot of goals, so we have to keep going and win everything we can.”
