Touching moment SPFL star celebrates wonder strike with ball boy son

IT was a goal worthy of winning any match.
And the fact that the scorer was able to celebrate with his son on the touchline made the moment even more special.
The battle for the final playoff place at the top end of the Scottish Championship looks like going all the way to the wire.
While Falkirk are well placed to seal their return to the Premiership as champions and Livingston and Ayr United look set to finish second and third, fourth place is still up for grabs.
Partick Thistle are in the box seat with 48 points but lost to Airdrie yesterday.
And that’s opened the door again for Raith Rovers who moved to within three points with a 1-0 win over Ayr at Stark’s Park.
The only goal of the game was claimed after 62 minutes by Dylan Easton and was a strike it was.
The former Airdrie and Forfar Athletic midfielder was first to the ball as a corner was headed out to the edge of the box.
And the 30-year-old couldn’t have caught it any sweeter as he lashed a left-foot half-volley into the top corner.
Easton at first ran away to the halfway line to celebrate with his team-mates.
But then he remembered his son, Harlen, was working behind the goals as a ball boy – and had the perfect view as his dad’s shot sailed high into the net.
And father and son enjoyed a quick hug and kiss to celebrate – with Easton seeming to quickly explain the situation to ref Chris Graham on his way back for the kick-off.
One Raith fan described it as “by far the greatest moment we’ve seen this year so far”.
And another added of Harlen: “It was so cute. He was desperate to celebrate with his dad.”
While Easton – who turned 30 today – took to X to call it a “birthday present come early.”
And Raith fans were quick to hail his contribution.
One called it “an absolute ridiculous strike” while another revealed they had “said to my friends that this game needs one minute of genius”.
With just four games left of the regular season, Raith’s next mission sees them welcome a resurgent Airdrie to Stark’s Park on Saturday, while Thistle take on Hamilton Accies at Firhill.
