Manchester United and Manchester City played out one of the most robotic derbies in recent memory as they settled for a point apiece on Sunday.
Fans groaned as players showed a real lack of quality and invention over the course of 94 minutes of play.
Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne came back into the Manchester City team following their midweek win over Leicester City but struggled to have any meaningful impact.
Rasmus Hojlund was restored to United's starting XI having been left out away to Nottingham Forest but he failed to get a shot off before he was hooked.
The result lifted United to 13th in the table, while City are clinging onto a top five - and Champions League - place.
Mail Sport's NATHAN SALT was on hand to pass judgement over the two sides...

The 196th Manchester derby left a lot to be desired as the two teams badly lacked quality

Both Ruben Amorim (right) and Pep Guardiola (left) cut frustrated figures on the sidelines
MANCHESTER UNITED (3-4-3)
Andre Onana - 6.5
Faced one tame Kevin De Bruyne shot on target in the first 45 but actually had to work in the second, denying Omar Marmoush twice, impressively.
Noussair Mazraoui - 5.5
Operating on the weaker side of United's team but does deserve credit for spooking Phil Foden when he was through on goal. Likely to become a squad player next season.
Harry Maguire - 6
Managed to restrict Omar Marmoush to very little, with the Manchester United centre back showing all his experience to dictate. Didn't last an hour before being subbed.
Leny Yoro - 6.5
United's best defender on the day and another example of his own improvement as he showed more bravery to drive into midfield to get his side up the pitch. Will be a regular starter next season. Booked.

Harry Maguire (left) was assured at the back and limited City to few chances before going off

Andre Onana was called into action in the second half but it was a routine afternoon for him
Diogo Dalot - 5
Another performance that underlines just why United need to address the right wing back position this summer. This stop-gap can't continue next season. Booked.
Manuel Ugarte - 5.5
Came within inches of scoring moments before he was taken off but overall he seemed to get swallowed up in the midfield battle. Won just two duels from six on the ground.
Casemiro - 6.5
Made the most tackles of anybody in this match and in a match where risk was an allergy to both teams, it suited him down to the ground. Wanted a penalty when fouled by Mateo Kovacic.
Patrick Dorgu - 6
Offers better balance than Dalot does on the other side but needs to work on his final ball. Too often he miscued when presented with a golden opportunity.

Bruno Fernandes (left) was the best player on the pitch, albeit it was a low bar on the day

Rasmus Hojlund (right) touched the ball once in the City box and failed to take a single shot
Bruno Fernandes - 7
Best player on the pitch - albeit not a title that meant as much given the dire quality of this contest. Can never be accused of drifting through games like a lot of those out there.
Alejandro Garnacho - 6
Gets criticised more often than not but always carries a threat, even if his decision making is a work in progress. A livewire in a game that was so robotic but no real end product.
Rasmus Hojlund - 4
A willing runner but you cannot gloss over just 15 touches, one in the City box, and zero shots in 71 agonising minutes. Badly needs help in carrying the attacking burden.
MANAGER: Ruben Amorim - 5
Punched his seat in frustration during the first half and still couldn't locate a smile in the second. Has to be given an attacker or two this summer.

Victor Lindelof (for Harry Maguire, 58) - 5
Joshua Zirkzee (for Rasmus Hojlund, 71) - 6.5
Mason Mount (for Manuel Ugarte, 71) - 6

Joshua Zirkzee was a bright spark when he was sent on from the bench in the second half
MANCHESTER CITY (4-2-3-1)
Ederson - 6.5
Much like Onana, Ederson rarely had his feathers ruffled with United's often anaemic attack living up to its name once again. Reacted well to deny Joshua Zirkzee late on.
Matheus Nunes - 6
Looked set for a long afternoon with Garnacho and Dorgu to deal with but they didn't stress him anywhere near enough. Did well overall.
Ruben Dias - 5
Fortunate not to give a penalty away in the first United attack with a clumsy foul on Garnacho. And then to avoid handling in the area in the second. Two heart in mouth moments.
Josko Gvardiol - 6
A match that seemed to pass without incident for the talented young Croatian. Will face a much tougher assignment up against Crystal Palace next weekend, in truth.

Ruben Dias (left) got given the runaround in the early stages by livewire Alejandro Garnacho

Josko Gvardiol barely seemed to break sweat at the back which is testament to his talent
Nico O'Reilly - 6
The 20-year-old is mature beyond his years and didn't once look overwhelmed in this one. He will go on to save City tens of millions as they prepare to refresh this team in the summer.
Mateo Kovacic - 6
More progressive than his midfield partner in at least trying to set team-mates free but it was difficult to inject much life into this contest. Faced a VAR penalty check for fouling Casemiro.
Ilkay Gundogan - 4
Completely forgot he was playing until the board came up to substitute him off. Everything was backwards or sideways - only three passes into the final third - in a painfully flat display.
Phil Foden - 3
Failed to have a single shot on target. Failed to manage one successful dribble or a successful cross. Two touches in the United box. Anonymous.

Phil Foden endured a miserable afternoon as he was anonymous before he was taken off

Kevin De Bruyne is a true Premier League great but this was a low key final Manchester derby
Kevin De Bruyne - 5
A lot of the discourse this week has surrounded his exit and while a Premier League great, zero chances created in a flat display here suggests a fresh challenge will suit all parties.
Bernardo Silva - 4
Bristled recently at a suggestion he's too old to be part of a Man City rebuild but this was a ponderous display. Struggles to impact games more often than not now. Booked.
Omar Marmoush - 5
Livened up once Maguire went off - a relief for him - but all his strikes were comfortably straight at Onana. Kept drifting out wide when City needed him to stay central.
MANAGER - Pep Guardiola - 5
Tried to be proactive with his substitutions having returned to the touchline after a one-match ban. But this game was so flat a five is as high as we can go.
