Is Peterborough vs Birmingham City on TV? How to watch possible promotion party
Birmingham City play the first of two matches against Peterborough United this week at the Weston Homes Stadium on Tuesday night
Birmingham City have the chance to seal their return to the Championship this evening by beating Peterborough United.
Blues have stormed League One this season and only need two more points to guarantee promotion back to the second tier at the first attempt.
Wycombe Wanderers handed Blues the opportunity to go up with six games to spare by losing to Reading on Saturday. If the Chairboys fail to win at Huddersfield tonight, Blues will be promoted irrespective of their result at the Weston Homes Stadium.
Blues will be backed by almost 4,000 Bluenoses after their allocation of 2,358 was increased by a further 1,600 tickets on Sunday courtesy of Posh director of football, and ex-Blues manager, Barry Fry.
Team news
Peterborough will be without left-back Tayo Edun after he was sent off against Northampton. Fellow defender Sam Hughes looks set to miss out through injury.
Blues, meanwhile, could be without Krystian Bielik, Taylor Gardner-Hickman and Emil Hansson once again. Lee Buchanan (knee), Scott Wright (knee) and Lyndon Dykes (calf) are long-term absentees.
What time is kick-off?
This match was originally set for Saturday, 8 February (3pm) but it was rearranged due to Blues’ involvement in the FA Cup. Two months on, a midweek date and a 7:45pm kick-off has been set.
Is it on TV?
As this is a rearranged fixture, it hasn’t been selected for TV coverage. Sky Sports selected last week’s win at Bristol Rovers as their main fixture but this game is only available on Sky Sports+.
The Sky Sports+ stream usually starts aroundfive or ten minutes before kick-off and can be accessed through the red button on Sky Sports Football or the Sky Sports+ app on Sky TV boxes.
Sky Sports+ can also be accessed through iOS and Android devices as well as on Virgin Media boxes through either channel 508 or through the red button on any Sky Sports channel.
Where else can you follow it?
BBC WM will be providing match commentary, as ever, and you can follow all the build-up, action and reaction with BirminghamLive's live blog which kicks off at 5:45pm HERE.
