As Real Madrid gear up for their Champions League quarter-final first leg against Arsenal, they're facing a significant disciplinary challenge. No fewer than six of their players are on the brink of suspension, needing just one more yellow card to miss the crucial second leg.

Madrid have been the most carded team in this year's tournament, accruing 33 yellow cards across just 12 matches. This mounting tally is adding pressure to Carlo Ancelotti, who is already grappling with a long list of injured players. Losing key figures to suspension would further complicate his plans and weaken his squad's strength for the return leg.

Ancelotti himself isn't immune to these woes; he's also at risk of suspension after receiving two bookings. His troubles extend to domestic competitions as well, where he's set to serve a touchline ban during Madrid’s upcoming La Liga match against Alaves following a booking in their recent loss to Valencia.

Under Champions League regulations, players face a one-match suspension after accumulating three yellow cards. Additional suspensions follow for every odd-numbered caution thereafter—meaning a fifth, seventh, or ninth booking results in another ban. Fortunately for teams, these cautions are wiped clean following the quarter-finals, offering some relief as they advance further into the competition.

Who are the six Real Madrid players facing suspension?

Right now, Real Madrid are going into the quarter-finals of the Champions League with six key players flirting with suspension.

Eduardo Camavinga has been flirting with a suspension since matchday four having picked up a booking against in their defeat against Lille and AC Milan while Brazilian teenager Endrick went in the referee's book against Lille to and away at Liverpool as well.

Others include club captain Luka Modric who picked up two yellow cards in Madrid's opening two group stage matches against Stuttgart and Lille.

Star man Vinicius Junior has already picked up a suspension in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Salzburg in the group stages before finding his name in the referee's book in their last outing against Atletico Madrid. As a result, Vinicius is facing another suspension if he is to pick up a fifth booking - this is the same situation as defender Lucas Vazquez as well.

Here are the odds in each player to be carded:

  • Eduardo Camavinga - 5/2
  • Endrick - 16/5
  • Lucas Vazquez - 7/2
  • Antonio Rudiger - 4/1
  • Luka Modric - 4/1
  • Vinicius Junior - 11/4

A bet builder on all six to be carded in tonight's match is going for a huge 1000/1 odds with SpreadEx and bet365 while William Hill is offering 375/1 along with their impact sub clause if any of the above selections is substituted in this match.
