Bologna reveal extent of warm-up injury which kept Scotland hero Lewis Ferguson out of Napoli clash

BOLOGNA have revealed the extent of the warm-up injury which kept Lewis Ferguson OUT of last night's clash with Napoli.
The former Hamilton and Aberdeen star was unable to take part in the eagerly-awaited clash with Napoli and their Scottish superstars Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour which ended in a 1-1 draw.
He was replaced by Swiss star Michel Aebischer in Vicenzo Italiano's team lines before kick off, and now Bologna have confirmed that the Scotland man will be out for action for three weeks with a muscle injury.
It's a blow to Bologna, who are bidding to make it back into the Champions League with the likes of Juventus, Lazio, Roma and Fiorentina close on their coat tails.
With Polish goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski also leaving the fray, the Rossoblu wrote: "The tests that Lukasz Skorupski and Lewis Ferguson underwent revealed respectively: a low-grade lesion of the right adductor, and a low-grade lesion of the right rectus femoris.
"Recovery times for both are three weeks."
Ferguson, of course, suffered a serious knee injury that prevented him from going to the Euros with Scotland in Germany last summer.
Bologna are also closing in on the final of the Coppa Italia, having racked up a 3-0 away win against Empoli in the first leg of their last four showdown.
The winners will then face the victors of derby clash between Inter and Milan in the showpiece final on Wednesday, May 14, with Bologna bidding to pick up their first piece of silverware since 1974.
The two Milan sides played out a 1-1 draw at San Siro last Wednesday.
