Manchester United may still have a season to salvage, but Ruben Amorim is likely already focusing on the future of his new club.

Currently sitting 13th in the Premier League and trailing by 12 points for a European competition spot next season, the Red Devils' chances seem slim. They could sneak into the Champions League via the Europa League victory, but that's a Herculean task.

With this in mind, the summer transfer window looms as the next big challenge for United. There are several known issues to address and potentially more curveballs to come.

In light of this, Daily Star Sport has compiled and analysed the latest transfer news and rumours swirling around Old Trafford.

Chelsea's call

Despite loan deals with an obligation to buy typically being straightforward, Jadon Sancho's future seems to be hanging in the balance, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Recent reports suggest that Chelsea has an extra option of shelling out a £5m fee to bypass the need to make Sancho's move permanent this summer.

The Sun, which first reported the £5m option, now hints that the Blues are prepared to exercise this choice.

This is due to their wealth of wide options for the upcoming season, making the United loanee surplus to requirements.

This simply piles another headache onto United's summer plate - they must sever ties once and for all. A sale is absolutely necessary.

Osimhen's next move decided

ESPN reports that Victor Osimhen has made his personal preferences known for his upcoming transfer.

The 26 year old has been on loan at Galatasaray in Turkey this season after failing to secure a big-money move last summer. Despite this, he's netted 28 goals in 32 appearances, proving he's still got a sharp eye for goal.

Upon his return to Napoli, it's unlikely he'll continue his career there and is reportedly up for grabs for €65m (£55.7m), with United now among the clubs linked to him, giving them an extra boost.

According to the ESPN report, the Nigerian international is most keen on a move to the Premier League, or if that falls through, he'd like to join Napoli's major Serie A rivals Juventus.
