Dominic Calvert-Lewin transfer could be back on as David Moyes gives update on Everton striker

Dominic Calvert-Lewin's transfer to Newcastle United could be resurrected. The Everton striker saw a move to the Magpies fall through last summer.
But in an exclusive report from the ECHO's sister paper, The Chronicle, they suggest Calvert-Lewin is still admired by Eddie Howe and that the Blues' No.9's new representatives have contacted Newcastle over a free transfer switch.

Everton manager David Moyes has repeatedly stressed that negotiations with players whose deals run out on June 30 will not take place until the club is mathematically safe.
The Blues head to Nottingham Forest on Saturday (3pm) sitting 15 points clear of the relegation places with seven games to play.
But it is unclear whether Calvert-Lewin would be interested in remaining at Goodison Park, where he has scored 71 goals in 270 appearances across nine seasons, or whether he favours a fresh challenge.
The Chronicle report: "Calvert-Lewin remains a player Eddie Howe admires and would come into consideration if Callum Wilson leaves the club on a free transfer this summer. With Europe beckoning, cover for Alexander Isak will be absolutely vital for the Magpies with the Sweden star having little back-up in the first half of the season during Wilson's injury struggles.
"Chronicle Live understands that Calvert-Lewin would be open to a move to Newcastle and his representatives have touched base to see if Newcastle are still interested in the deal that they discussed last summer. At 6ft 1in, Calvert-Lewin could offer Newcastle different options in attack especially with European competition in mind.
"The striker's £100,000 wage expectations would fit into Newcastle's transfer budget and he would come with good recommendation from his former Everton team-mate Anthony Gordon."
Calvert-Lewin has not played for the Blues since coming off early on in the 1-0 win at Brighton & Hove Albion on January 25.
While there is a hope he will play again before the end of the campaign, Moyes today confirmed there is still work to before he returns to full training.
Moyes said: "Dom is out on the grass and he's training well. With it being a hamstring injury, it's not the sort of thing we can speed up greatly and bring him back.
"We're trying to follow all the protocols with it and we're trying not to bring him back too quickly. But we're roughly thinking about another three weeks until we're even talking about him getting back into... I'm not sure if we're talking about full-time training or games yet, but it'll be another three weeks until we start mentioning him."
