Manchester United could reportedly swoop for both Matheus Cunha and Liam Delap this summer transfer window, while Arsenal have been linked with Real Madrid’s young midfielder Arda Guler. William Saliba could be heading in the opposite direction as Madrid look for a new central defender, and Lionel Messi is close to extending his contract with MLS side Inter Miami.

Man Utd want Cunha and Delap
Matheus Cunha and Liam Delap are both on Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim’s shortlist for the summer.
The two forwards could cost £90 million in total, and may be funded by selling Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Antony.
The Mirror writes: "Wolves star Matheus Cunha has joined Liam Delap on Manchester United's summer wish-list.
"The Red Devils are considering signing the pair for a combined £90 million, as Ruben Amorim looks to bolster his attack.
"United have struggled for goals throughout this season and have loaned out three forwards - Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Antony. Senior figures at Old Trafford hope to sell the trio permanently when the summer transfer window opens and use the cash to finance Amorim's rebuild.
"Ipswich striker Delap has emerged as United's top striker target while Cunha, 25, is viewed as a Premier League-proven option for one of their No. 10 roles.
" The Brazilian signed a new contract with Wolves in January but has already suggested that he's ready to leave, having been the subject of interest from Arsenal and Nottingham Forest."
Guler linked with Arsenal move
The Sun reports that Arsenal have been linked with Real Madrid forward Arda Guler, who is struggling for minutes in Spain.
The 20-year-old would be relatively affordable, but a striker is likely to be the priority.
The paper states: "Guler would cost between £30m and £40m at least should anyone come calling, but it appears not to make too much sense with a younger Nwaneri living up to his potential and capturing the hearts of Arsenal fans as a Hale End product.
"Mikel Arteta will be prioritising an elite striker this summer, with Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi already lined up and the defence needing bolstering too."
Real Madrid tracking Saliba
Arsenal central defender William Saliba is a target for Real Madrid, but they may have to wait.
While they do want to strengthen their backline this summer, Saliba’s contract is set to run until 2027.
The Athletic explains: "Real Madrid have problems in defence - and the club want to fix those by signing a centre-back this summer.
"Trent Alexander-Arnold was the chosen option at right-back - Liverpool did not want to let him go in January but the board’s message to Ancelotti since the start of March has been that the England international, whose contract expires in the summer, will be a Madrid player next season.
"The club are most keen on Arsenal’s William Saliba, on whom they have compiled very positive reports since he came through at French side Saint-Etienne when they considered signing him. Saliba joined Arsenal in 2019 but Madrid have kept a positive relationship with the 24-year-old’s entourage.
"Despite this, Saliba joining this summer is highly unlikely. He has a contract with Arsenal until 2027 and the club want him to renew, so either Madrid would be turned down or any potential fee to sign him would be too high.
"That is why they are deploying their usual transfer strategy: staying close to the player discreetly and preparing the ground to try and sign him in 2026 for an affordable amount or in 2027 as a free agent."
Messi set to extend Inter Miami stay
Lionel Messi is poised to sign a new contract to extend his time at MLS side Inter Miami.
The 37-year-old would then be at the club to see in their new stadium in 2026.
The Daily Mail reports: "The World Cup winner, 37, joined Inter Miami in the summer of 2023 in a blockbuster move for soccer in the United States.
"The new agreement would ensure that Inter's captain is in Miami when the team moves into its new $1 billion stadium in 2026.
"Messi, 37, has made 48 appearances for Inter Miami, amassing 42 goals and 21 assists since joining MLS.
"The 37-year-old led Beckham's team to its first ever trophy, the 2023 Leagues Cup, just months after arriving Stateside."
