Liverpool's dramatic 2-1 win over West Ham United played its part in a record-breaking day for Sky Sports as their viewership reached 7.5million on Sunday. The Reds took a giant stride towards winning their second Premier League crown thanks to Virgil van Dijk's header in the dying embers.
The sports broadcast provider showcased a wide range of events across their respective channels, with the lion's share tuning in to see Rory McIlroy win his first Masters and complete the Grand Slam of golf's majors.
Figures suggest that there was a record peak audience of 1.85million viewers, 37 per cent of TV viewership, who tuned in to see the Northern Irish golfer pick up the famous green jacket as he overcame Justin Rose in a playoff.
