Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has named his starting XI for the game against Arsenal and he has opted to move Fede Valverde, the big doubt until now, into the midfield with Lucas Vázquez slotting in at right-back.

Aurélien Tchouaméni starts in place of the suspended Eduardo Camavinga, and the front three of Rodrygo, Vini Jr and Mbappé retain their spots.

Alaba poised for big night

On the left flank, Alaba will start. Despite a tough night at the Emirates Stadium, Ancelotti has gone for his veteran, with Fran García making the bench.

With Thibaut Courtois in goal and a central pairing of Asencio and Rüdiger, Madrid’s back four is set.

Madrid’s Fantastic Four up front

Then comes the heavy artillery – the Fantastic Four.

Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior each have seven Champions League goals this season and lead Madrid in overall scoring with 33 and 20, respectively. Mbappé, however, is on the cusp of his worst scoring drought since arriving in Spain – four games without a goal, and, Arsenal take note, he’s never gone five.

Alongside Vini and Mbappé, Jude Bellingham’s presence and Rodrygo’s explosiveness round out a frontline built for big moments. This is a night for Madrid to go all-in. No holding back. A war that demands the tanks.
