Shelby Companies Limited (SCL), the company through which Knighthead Capital Management controls Birmingham City, have confirmed a number of new investors.

In an update posted to Companies House on Tuesday night, some new names joined Knighthead and Tom Brady as investors of SCL.

Brady's 'body coach' Alex Guerrero, who has become an influential figure behind-the-scenes this season, and his wife Alicia Guerrero have become minority shareholders. Guerrero has been based at Blues' training ground in Henley-in-Arden for large parts of this season and has overseen the transformation of the club's medical department.

All the new investments appear to be relatively small shareholdings but the one taken out by Paramour Capital is one of the most significant. Paramour Capital is owned by US-based investment banker Michael Kramer who is the chief executive and founding partner of Ducera Partners, a leading investment banking advisory firm.

Another new shareholder is James DeMare, the president of global markets at Bank of America. Prior to joining Bank of America in 2008, DeMare held various management and senior trading positions in fixed income at Citigroup, Salomon Brothers and Bear Stearns.

One of the more interesting details is the presence of The Religion of Sports Media, which is headed up by Gautam Chopra. Chopra has worked with Brady, LeBron James and Simone Biles to name just a few in a career which has seen him become one of the leading sports filmmakers in America. Brady is a shareholder in Religion of Sports.

Ameeth Sankaran is another name now linked to SCL and he is also part of the Religion of Sports team. Blues have recently announced that they will be featured on an Amazon Prime documentary this summer and there is reason to believe more documentaries following the club’s fortunes could be commissioned in the future.

Owl Holdings Limited, which is controlled by David Carlin and Joanne Carlin on Companies House, have the largest slice of the pie as far as the new investors are concerned. They appear to be investors, mainly in the property sector, as per their most recent accounts on Companies House.
