Amad Diallo's reaction to Man Utd win more chaotic than game as he slams team-mate
Amad Diallo may have been injured since February, but he was celebrating with the Red Devils tonight after a chaotic win at Old Trafford against Lyon, posting a bonkers tweet
Amad Diallo has fans in stitches with an expletive laden tweet after a rollercoaster night at Old Trafford.
United thought they would be cruising into the last four thanks to first half goals from Manuel Ugarte and Diogo Dalot against Lyon. But a second half collapse saw them concede four goals, to leave them 4-2 down on the night in extra time.
But when all hope seemed lost, Kobbie Mainoo pulled one back, before Maguire's header turned Old Trafford from a place of nightmares back into the Theatre of Dreams. United came back to win 5-4.
Diallo took to X to share his joy at the win. The injured United star wrote: “UNITER WILL NEVER DIED, congrat manu for your’re s*** goal , f*** Garna for that miss , you gaves us pain heart” followed by two crying emojis.
Alongside the chaotic tweet, Diallo posted a picture of himself, Manuel Ugarte, and Garnacho in the dressing room.
The insane tweet has led to fans flooding social media in confusion and questioning what is going on.
They flooded his replies on X with support, writing: “Bro did more mistakes in one tweet than all season on the pitch, trophy soon!”
One wrote: “I almost thought this was a fake account,” while another simply said “Amad I love you.”
Another fan wrote: “More players should be as honest as this on social media. Amazing stuff.”
Recognising the high emotions of the moment, one fan replied: “This might actually be the greatest tweet of all time. Too real. Unfiltered. Pure emotions with different words just joined together. Love it!”
Others were not on board with his antics. One simply replied: “correct your english”
The night was a complete rollercoaster for United fans, but Harry Maguire came out as the star.
"It's one of the most remarkable nights this stadium has ever seen in European competitions," TNT Sports' commentator Darren Fletcher yelled as Maguire wheeled off after heading home.
Paul Robinson, who was on BBC Radio 5 Live, said: "A special European night, again at Old Trafford. The roof has come off the place. What an incredible game and incredible comeback!”
Sir Alex Ferguson sat in the stands and found himself taken on a trip back in time to when he used to mastermind legendary comebacks.
Amad, meanwhile, has been sidelined since February after suffering a serious foot injury, though Amorim is hopeful the Ivory Coast international will feature for the Reds again before the end of the season.
