Manchester United winger Amad sent a bizarre X-rated message to Manuel Ugarte and Alejandro Garnacho after the dramatic 7-6 victory over Lyon in the Europa League.

United were cruising to the semi-finals at half-time when they were 2-0 up at half-time on the night. However, things would go downhill quickly in the second half as the French side scored twice in six minutes to take the game to extra-time.

Despite having Corentin Tolisso sent off before the full-time whistle, Lyon pushed on and made it 4-2 on the night thanks to Rayan Cherki and Alexandre Lacazette's goals. But, with the Reds down and out, they somehow rallied to keep their season alive.

Bruno Fernandes' penalty, Kobbie Mainoo's curling strike and a last gasp Harry Maguire header sparked insane scenes at Old Trafford to make it 5-4 on the night, 7-6 on aggregate. At the full-time whistle all the players were physically and emotionally broken and it appears it was the same for those not involved too.

Taking to social media immediately after the game ended, the injured Amad posted: "Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssdeeesssdsssddsssssssssssss," followed by several crying emojis - summing up the mood of many United fans on Thursday night.

However, his reaction would take a turn into the bizarre when he shared a selfie from the victorious United dressing room. Captioning the post on X, the Ivorian wrote: "UNITED WILL NEVER DIE.

"Congrats Manu for your s*** goal. F*** Garna for that miss, you gave us heart pain."

At the time of writing, the post has not been deleted by Amad. The miss he referred to came when the score was 2-0 on the night.

Garnacho had burst away from the defender before cutting back and firing a shot straight at the goalkeeper. Fortunately for the Reds, all's well that ends well as far as they are concerned.

The Reds now advance to the semi-finals of the competition where Athletic Bilbao await. They beat Rangers 2-0 on Thursday to book their place in the last four, and they have added motivation as the final is being held in their home stadium.

But for tonight, many will be celebrating like Amad.
