Fulham 1-2 Chelsea - Debutant George and Neto turn Premier League match around and win it for the Blues late on

Late goals from Tyrique George and Pedro Neto turned the west London derby in Chelsea’s favour after Fulham led for most of the game.

Amazingly, the game was a direct reversal of the Boxing Day match at Stamford Bridge when Chelsea’s lead was cancelled out late and won by the Cottagers in injury time.

Here, after looking toothless for most of the game despite dominating the second half, debutant George lashed home a first-time strike from the edge of the area six minutes from time, before Neto turned and rocketed a strike into the roof of the net in injury time.

Fulham held the lead from the 20-minute mark when Ryan Sessegnon brushed Reece James off the ball and drilled a ball to Alex Iwobi 20 yards from goal, and he hit a left-footed effort which was too accurate for Robert Sanchez to keep out.

The Blues are now just a point behind fourth-place Manchester City, while Fulham remain in ninth position.

They clutched victory from the jaws of defeat. A sickener for Fulham, just as it was for Chelsea in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge.

Neto unleashes an absolute rocket which leaves Leno with no chance. He controlled the ball with his back to goal and then turned and fired an effort into the roof of the net.

But Sanchez bravely comes out to claim, and leave the Fulham substitute on the floor wounded.

Chelsea's sub is subbed off, you can only assume through injury.

But his curling effort does not have any dip in it and flies over harmlessly.

Traore and Vinicius come on for Iwobi and Jiminez.

That didn't look like coming! Robinson tapped the ball away from Palmer on the edge of the box and the sustitute just lashed an effort which arrowed into the bottom left-hand corner for his first Premier League goal.

Wilson caused him a problem running behind him and, as the winger waited for the ball to come down, the Spaniard pushed him over, earning a yellow card.

Wilson returns to action, coming on for Sessegnon, and Castagne replaces Tete.

It's been a poor afternoon for the Blues striker.

But happily for the defender it goes straight into the arms of Leno.

But Tete boots the ball clear. It's getting like that for Fulham.

Fulham make their first change of the match.

He drives into the left-hand side of the box and blasted a shot in, but it flew well wide.

But his shot is blocked by Neto.

But no one was reading the cross and Leno claimed unchallenged.

It was great work from Neto but Jackson made a run too early, before the Portuguese star cut back, and when the fiendish cross was put in, he was coming back from an offside position.

The shot with the left-back's right foot looked to be curling into the far corner, with Leno stranded, but the Fulham skipper was there to clear.
