John McGinn makes Kieran Tierney feelings clear on Celtic return as Aston Villa hero convinced of one thing
The Hoops diehard is on his way back to his boyhood heroes this summer after penning a pre-contract deal from the Gunners
Kieran Tierney will bring invaluable experience as part of his overall package to Celtic as they bid to continue their dominance over Rangers.
That's the view of Scotland colleague and fellow English Premier League star John McGinn - who waxed lyrical over the Arsenal man.
Brendan Rodgers has secured a deal for Tierney to return to Celtic on a pre-contract in the summer and Aston Villa captain McGinn has expressed his delight for his pal who he labelled an unbelievable player and top professional.
McGinn believes he will be buzzing to get back up the road and get started back under Rodgers with his quality set to prove key as the Hoops seek to continue in their position as top dogs in Scotland.
The Champions League was also a success story for the Parkhead side this season after reaching the knockout stage before a narrow defeat to German giants Bayern Munich over two legs. He knows KT will be determined to help that progress move even further.
But he's still got a job to do at Arsenal with the Gunners in the semi-final against PSG after knocking out Real Madrid.
It could bring his time at the Emirates to an end in fairytale fashion should Mikel Arteta's men go all the way, and McGinn is in no doubt that his pal will be desperate to go out on the ultimate high.
He told the Sunday Post: "I'm really pleased for Kieran. He is an unbelievable footballer and totally dedicated to his profession.
"Celtic is his club, and I would imagine he is really excited about going back and playing again under Brendan Rodgers.
"I've no doubt Kieran will add extra quality to the squad, and his experience will be invaluable as they push towards remaining the dominant team in the country.
"It's also about progress in Europe, and Kieran will want to help the club into the Champions League. It's the tournament every footballer wants to be involved in.
"So, I wish Kieran well, but he also has plenty to look forward to with Arsenal in the next few weeks, and he'll be desperate to go out on a high."
