Ex Celtic loan star lined up for mega transfer move to European giants just 3 months after leaving Parkhead
Bundesliga big hitters Borussia Dortmund want to snap up Alex Valle from Barcelona this summer
Alex Valle could be set for a big summer move to Borussia Dortmund.
The former Celtic loan star is wanted by the Bundesliga big hitters and they have made an enquiry to Barcelona over the left-back.
The 20-year-old was snapped up by Brendan Rodgers last summer to provide competition for Greg Taylor and he made 10 starts for the Hoops in all competitions.
But his temporary move to Glasgow's east end was cut short in January and that allowed him to make a second move from the La Liga giants to Como in Serie A.
Former Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas is in charge of the Italian top flight side and he was this week full of praise for his performances since joining the club.
He said: "Alex is a very young player, only 20 years old, and he has a lot of room for improvement.
"He's been a very consistent performer for me."
Dortmund are reportedly set to try and sign Valle, who has a £5million release clause in his contract.
The German side are no strangers to Valle, who came off the bench in Celtic's Champions League hammering to the Germans.
Como have all but secured their Serie A safety with Valle and Co sitting 13th in the league standings.
They hold a 15 point gap over Venezia in the final relegation spot with just five games to go.
They picked up an impressive 3-0 win on the road at Leece - who find themselves battling the drop and just one point above the drop.
