Jota thrilled to share magic Celtic moment with opportunistic young fan as he buzzes at being a memory maker
The Portuguese winger came off the bench to bag the fifth for Celtic and celebrated with the young interloper on the Hampden pitch
Jota admits he was thrilled to share a special Hampden moment with a young Celtic fan who ran on to the pitch to celebrate his fifth goal.
The Portuguese winger was a second half sub as the Hoops hammered St Johnstone 5-0 in their Scottish Cup semi-final to set up a final date with Aberdeen on May 24th.
With Brendan Rodgers' side already 4-0 up and well on their way to securing the boss a 14th straight win at the national stadium, Jota met Alistair Johnston;s cross at the back post to make it five and round off the scoring.
That was the moment the young fan picked to get involved himself, sprinting on to the park to his hero, who lifted him in celebration as the phone came out for a selfie.
Hampden security held a pitchside inquiry to determine how the kid managed to get on, but he wasn't in any serious trouble.
And it appeared to make Jota's day, who admitted it was a first for him and hoped his new pal was okay after his big moment.
"It's the first time I've lived something like this," he said. "I was thrilled by that and I hope he has. a memory for life. "I just hope he's okay."
