Milos Kerkez drops biggest future hint yet as Liverpool transfer rumours ramp up
The latest Liverpool news and transfer rumours as Bournemouth's left-back, Milos Kerkez, continues to be linked with a move to Anfield.
Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez has dropped the biggest hint yet that he could be on his way to Liverpool during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Arne Slot's men are on the verge of a historic Premier League title, needing just three more points to be officially crowned champions. While that could happen midweek - if Arsenal suffer a surprise defeat to Crystal Palace - the more likely scenario sees Liverpool sealing the title at Anfield on Sunday with a win over Tottenham.
Although title celebrations will understandably dominate the headlines in the coming weeks, attention will soon begin to turn towards the summer transfer window and how Liverpool plan to build on their success under Slot. One man that continues to be linked with the club is Kerkez, who has emerged as one of the most talented young full-backs in the Premier League during his time at Bournemouth.
Rumours of Kerkez's potential move to Liverpool first surfaced earlier in the season - but have intensified in recent weeks. The player himself has continued to fuel speculation with his social media activity, offering further hints at a possible switch to Anfield this summer.
Earlier this month, the 21-year-old liked Instagram posts from journalist Fabrizio Romano confirming contract extensions for both Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk. His national teammate, Dominik Szoboszlai, also contributed to the growing speculation by sharing a selfie with Kerkez following Liverpool's win vs Bournemouth back in February.
Most recently, after Szoboszlai shared a post celebrating Liverpool's win over Leicester City on Sunday, Kerkez responded with an hour-glass emoji and a red heart - seemingly pointing out how close the Reds are to securing the Premier League title - but could it also hint at a transfer? While Kerkez and Szoboszlai are known to be close friends, that hasn't stopped fans from getting excited at the prospect of the duo linking up at club level as well as internationally, as per the comments section.
Kerkez has commented on his Bournemouth future on a few occasions this season but has been careful not to be drawn into speculation about a move. Speaking with Nemzetisport back in February, he said: "It wouldn't look bad (working with Szoboszlai at Liverpool), that's for sure.
"But it's too early to talk about something like that. I have big goals with Bournemouth, we still have a lot of games to win, that's the most important thing right now."
