Eni Aluko disrespected our national treasure and ruined her own career

Eni Aluko has slammed the door on her own broadcasting future - and she’s bolted it shut. The former Chelsea striker took aim at our national treasure Ian Wright, accusing him of "blocking women from having a pathway into broadcasting in the women’s game".

Seriously? Wrighty - the man who’s championed the Lionesses louder than half the FA boardroom put together? Let’s get one thing straight; Wright hasn’t just supported women’s football, he’s elevated it.

His voice, passion and platform have done more for the women’s game than most of the actual suits running it.

Aluko hasn't just burned a bridge - she torched the whole broadcast studio.

Wright is such a genuine guy, he will probably let this slide, but there's no way a producer should be partnering the duo on screen ever again.

Attacking a respected ally like Wright doesn’t empower women in sport. It divides, distracts and does nothing to move the game forward.

Eubank vs Benn

IF Chris Eubank Sr is so outraged about his son fighting Conor Benn, why is he on every broadcast possible discussing it?

His apparent 'family feud' is doing more to draw attention to the fight than Eubank Jr cracking an egg across his opponent's face.

The Eubanks have got everyone on strings.

Ronnie route

RONNIE O'Sullivan must be wearing his lucky pants this week as his path to the World Snooker Championship final has been blown wide open.

Kyren Wilson, Neil Robertson and Jak Jones have all suffered upsets in his half of the draw.

With John Higgins, Mark Williams, Shaun Murphy and Judd Trump all in the opposite half, he could not have asked for a more favourable route.
