Manchester United forward Antony continued to show exactly what he is made of on Thursday night with another sensational goal for Real Betis. The Brazilian scored a key goal in Betis' Conference League semi-final first leg win over Fiorentina.

The 25-year-old has now scored six goals and assisted another four in 19 games for the La Liga side since joining on loan until the end of the season. His form has seen his value rocket, with United expected to cash in once the summer transfer window opens.

Betis players, including Isco, have publicly made their feelings known of wanting the former Ajax man to stay at the club beyond his temporary stay. However, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are both interested in signing the winger, with reports in Spain suggesting the latter have enquired about his services.

Following Wednesday night's goal, against former teammate David de Gea, Antony dropped a hint of his preference with a message of dedication to Betis. Posting images of Thursday's win in Europe, he put: "My people!! Let's keep going *green heart* white heart."

Antony has rediscovered his Ajax form that convinced United to splash £85million on him, and it presents an opportunity for Ruben Amorim's men to bolster their transfer kitty for the summer. However, Betis have recently made a formal approach to United to re-sign Antony on another loan until the end of the 2025/26 season, an offer United are thought to have rejected.

Now, Betis legend Joaquin has urged his former side to do everything they can to make sure Antony stays at the Estadio Benito Villamarin. "I'll provide the car if he has to be kidnapped, but let him stay no matter what," he said. "This is the moment to enjoy. I think important moments will come, and we'll see later."

A permanent move for Antony would have to come at around £32.4m for United to avoid a negative Financial Fair Play hit for his sale amid the millions spent on him in 2022.
