Manchester United could give themselves a huge boost later this month when they face Premier League rivals Tottenham in the Europa League final.

A win in Europe's secondary competition would be a massive lift for Ruben Amorim's squad, not only securing them a trophy but also a spot back in the Champions League. Which could prove to be a key factor in persuading potential new signings to join Old Trafford as part of Amorim's drastic overhaul.

United are set to welcome a plethora of new signings in the summer and a host of stars have been linked with a move to Old Trafford, leading to some of the current United players being moved on.

Delap Old Trafford decision

Liam Delap is reportedly leaning towards a move to United with him set to leave Ipswich this summer.

The 22-year-old is expected to exit Portman Road following Ipswich's relegation.

United have been linked previously and it now seems their chances of securing a deal have increased.

According to talkSPORT, Delap is 'leaning' towards a move to Old Trafford.

Chelsea are also said to be interested, while Nottingham Forest have been named as potential suitors.

Delap reportedly has a £30m release clause in his contract with Ipswich.

Mastantuono silence broken

River Plate chief Jorge Pablo Brito has insisted they're not hurrying to decide the fate of United target Franco Mastantuono.

Speaking to ESPN via Sport Witness, he remarked: "The important thing is to remain calm with Mastantuono, understanding that he's 17 years old. He's not in a hurry, nor is River Plate.

"The best thing to do when something is in full swing is to let it continue to grow and not touch anything. You have to be very careful and not put more pressure on him than he already has."

Mastantuono is also reportedly a target for Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Sancho move approved

Flop Jadon Sancho has been offered an escape route to Turkey by Jose Mourinho.

The 25-year-old's future remains unresolved with Chelsea debating whether to pay United £5m to cancel their £25m obligation to buy.

According to Yeni Asir, Mourinho is interested in bringing the England winger to Fenerbahce and has already 'approved' his transfer.

The Super Lig giants are said to agree with Mourinho and have 'started to test the waters.'
