Antoine Semenyo could help Manchester United finally unlock Rasmus Hojlund's full potential. The 25-year-old forward has recently been linked with a move to Old Trafford following his impressive performances for Bournemouth.

Semenyo, who sees his contract at the Vitality Stadium expire in June 2029, has featured 35 times in the Premier League this season, scoring nine goals and providing six assists. Playing a key role in Andoni Iraola's side, he's given the Cherries a shot at securing European football.

An eighth-place finish in the English top flight could secure qualification to a UEFA competition next term if Newcastle United, who won the Carabao Cup, get Champions League through their league position and Manchester City win the FA Cup while also doing the same.

As it stands, Bournemouth are 10th with two games to go, and just two points separate them from Brentford in eighth. At the end of the day, Semenyo's eye-catching displays haven't gone under the radar, with United said to be interested in wrapping up a deal.

According to talkSPORT, the Ghana international has already held talks with the Reds over a potential transfer in the summer. It remains to be seen whether or not United will launch a bid for Semenyo, but they certainly seem keen.

And it comes as no surprise after a brilliant campaign. The Ghanaian has featured just as much on the left wing as he has on the right, which naturally makes him an attractive squad building option.

His versatility would go down a treat at United, with Ruben Amorim eager to implement a dynamic and hard-working front-three. Semenyo would provide the quality in the final third that they've been missing.

Hojlund, who has really struggled to impress since joining from Atalanta for £72m, could combine well with the Bournemouth star and finally fulfil his potential. Speaking to Sky Sports earlier this month, Iraola was quizzed on the futures of his key players.

Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez have also been linked with exits this summer. The Cherries boss said: "I don't think it's any different from previous years, especially when the team has done a good job.

"It happened to us last season. We didn't know what was going to happen with some players. We lost Lloyd Kelly and after that Dom Solanke. We don't really know what is going to happen in the summer.

"We are still focused on other things, but right now all the players are ours and, if nothing happens, they will continue to be ours next season also. So I don't think it's going to be different from other summers.

"We will focus on trying to improve the team, and add new players if we can, and if some player leaves because someone comes with what the club considers to be a good offer, we have to be ready for those situations, but not with fear.

"It is something that all the clubs, especially the ones who are not at the highest level like the top, top teams, have to get used to..."
