Hearts sees Jamestown transfer machine jump into life as deal for German third tier ace in motion
Tony Bloom's analytics enterprise has thrown up Soufian El-Faouzi as a target for the Jambos this summer
Hearts are interested in German midfielder Soufian El-Faouzi.
The TSV Alemannia Aachen star is one of the names that have been put forward to new boss Derek McInnes.
The 22-year-old has ranked high on the Jamestown Analytics software.
There have been initial talks with Alemannia Aachen for El-Faouzi, who still had a year left on his contract.
El-Faouzi can play as a central midfielder or as an attacking playmaker.
He came through the youth ranks of SF Siegen and moved to Paderborn and then Fortuna Düsseldorf’s second team.
He made the switch to Aachen last year where he has been a key figure for the Bundesliga 3 side, with 41 appearances, four goals and 10 assists.
The Jambos have already been active this summer signing right-back Christian Borchgrevink from Valerenga and Greek winger Alexandros Kyziridis for Zemplin Michalovce.
Hearts are also pushing to complete a deal for Kazakhstan winger Islam Chesnokov.
McInnes is also keen to land former Scotland international Stuart Findlay from Oxford United.
He previously had successful loan spells under McInnes at Kilmarnock.
